Shorncliffe Pottery Club Volunteering
SPC is 100% run by volunteers, so we need everyone to help share the workload. We understand that everyone has different skills, abilities and time available, there are options to suit everyone.
Below is an outline of the options and how to participate. If you are unable to participate then a $60 contribution to the club is required to ensure your membership can be renewed. If at any time you have any questions please talk to a Supervisor or email the club at shorncliffepotteryclubinc@gmail.com
1. Committee and Subcommittees (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and general members)
Committee members and any subcommittees are elected at our AGM. This is usually held around February but special AGM’s may be held throughout the year if required. Meetings are generally held every two months.
If you are interested talk to a current committee member and attend the AGM
2. Regular roles
These are roles which require more regular commitment, the amount of time required varies and there is always flexibility. If these roles are already filled you can be put on a wait list. Roles include

3. Event roles
These roles occur when we have specific events, like cleaning bees (cleaning and organizing the club runs 3-4 times a year) or events (set up/down, sales, wrapping, promoting the club, run 3-4 times a year). They occur throughout the year and usually are for 2-3 hrs
If you are interested keep an eye out for a call for volunteers throughout the year via newsletters, facebook, emails and on the events page of Helloclub.
4. Adhoc
These are the jobs which are required weekly to monthly and can include vacuuming and mopping the floors, washing the towels, wiping down the chairs and tables. This is not just the normal cleaning up after yourself but the stuff which is required to keep the studio clean and safe for everyone.
If you are interested then check the list on the noticeboard or talk to your supervisor during a session.
